Conditions of Use and Agreement between User and the American Bible Society
We are pleased to provide a place for sharing, and remind everyone that the viewpoints, opinions and actions expressed in this forum are those of the individuals themselves, and may not reflect American Bible Society policies or positions. By posting an entry, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. Therefore, if you do not agree with these terms and conditions, please do not post or you will subject yourself to them. We reserve the right to change, modify, add, or remove all or a part of these conditions and guidelines. If you continue to use the site after we have posted changes to the terms, it means you have accepted those terms as well. All story submissions are subject to our Privacy Policy and by submitting your story you affirm that:
- you are at least 14 years of age;
- the story is yours and you have the right to share it and give ABS permission to use it;
- all information contained in your story is accurate to the best of your knowledge; and
- you are giving ABS unlimited, free permission to publish all or any portion of the story on this website, and in any other media where ABS may wish to publish it in the future.
Entries are reviewed, edited and posted at the discretion of ABS. While not an exhaustive list, we reserve the right not to post any entry that:
- Constitutes spam;
- Contains hyperlinks to a virus, work or other harmful component;
- Contains an advertisement or other form of commercial solicitation;
- Contains copyrighted text without express permission to do so;
- Invades the privacy of another person or group (including the release of last names, addresses, phone numbers, or other personal information);
- Contains obscene, indecent, vulgar, abusive, bigoted, defamatory, threatening, or mean-spirited text or image(s);
- Advocates violence against another individual or group;
- Discusses or encourages someone or some group to commit an illegal act or use an illegal substance;
- Contains false or unauthentic text;
- Contains salacious or inappropriately negative comments about the Bible, Jesus Christ, the Christian community or any other religious text or organization.

We are not responsible for any contact, solicitation, or harassment, whether on- or offline, caused or otherwise facilitated by such entry.

Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold the American Bible Society and all of its agents, directors, employees, information providers, licensors and licensees and officers (collectively, “Indemnified Parties”) harmless from and against any and all liability and costs (including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees and costs), incurred by the Indemnified Parties in connection with any claim arising out of any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions of Use, or the foregoing representations, warranties and covenants.
You will cooperate as fully as reasonably required in ABS’s defense of any claim. ABS reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, and you shall not in any event settle any matter without the written consent of ABS.
General Provisions
These Terms and Conditions of Use and any additional terms posted on this Site together constitute the entire agreement between ABS and you with respect to your use of this Site. Any cause of action you may have with respect to your use of this Site must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of these Terms and Conditions of Use, or portion thereof, to be unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to effect the intent of this agreement, and the remainder of these Terms and Conditions of Use shall continue in full force and effect. These Terms and Conditions of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States of America, without reference to its conflicts of law rules.
