OFFICIAL GIVEAWAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Who Can Enter: Any legal resident of the 50 United States and The District of Columbia that is at least 18 years old. Employees of American Bible Society and members of their households or immediate families (parent, child, sibling and spouse) are not eligible to participate.
2. How to Enter: To enter the Giveaway participants 18 years of age or older must submit a story, either through writing or video. All personal information provided by any entrant will be subject to American Bible Society’s privacy policy posted at www.bibles.com/pages/privacy. Entry into the Giveaway constitutes agreement and acceptance to be notified by email of announcements and special offers by American Bible Society.

   By entering, participants agree to release, indemnify, discharge and hold harmless American Bible Society and its respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, and their respective officers, directors, and employees, from any and all damages, whether direct or indirect which may be due to or arise out of participation in the Giveaway. By participating you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the autonomous judges which are binding in all respects. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply to this Giveaway. This Giveaway is Void where prohibited by law, rule, or regulation. You further agree to the fair use of any material you submit, as well as to the fair use by ABS should you be a Giveaway winner. Further, please be aware that any content deemed inappropriate (e.g., sexual or racial, use of inappropriate language, obscenities, or otherwise objectionable material) in the sole and absolute discretion of American Bible Society or the judges will be immediately disqualified and not eligible for consideration. Any submission that has been previously published or has won awards in any Contest(s) will be immediately disqualified and not eligible for consideration, as will any subject that in any way infringes upon the intellectual property of a third party.

3. Giveaway Dates: Entries received between August 4, 2008 12:01 AM EST and September 1, 2008 11:59 PM EST will be eligible to participate in the Flips Ahoy Giveaway. Prize drawing will be held based on all entries received on August 4 and September 1, 2008. Subsequent ShareYourStoryNow.org Giveaways may be offered during subsequent periods, however there is no carry-over of Giveaway entries from one Giveaway period to the next. ShareYourStoryNow.org may end the Giveaway program at any time. Winners of any prior ShareYourStoryNow.org Giveaways will be eligible to win any other subsequent ShareYourStoryNow.org Giveaways unless otherwise stated in the rules of the subsequent Giveaways.
4. Prize Drawings: Winners will be selected at random by ShareYourStoryNow.org. The prize drawings for the Giveaway will be held on or around September 2 and October 1, 2008.
5. Prizes and Odds of Winning: One (1) Flip Ultra Video Camcorder will be awarded to one winner. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. The total retail value of the Flip Ultra Video Camcorder Giveaway prize is $149.00. No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize by winners permitted. ShareYourStoryNow.org reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Each prize winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes, fees, surcharges and shipping on any prize. The manufacturer/retailer of the Giveaway prize is not a participant or sponsor of or affiliated with this Giveaway and all trademarks relating to the prizes are the property of such manufacturer/retailer.
6. Winner Notification: The winner(s) will be notified by email to the email address provided on the story submission page. Entries submitted by email will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Any potential winner must provide American Bible Society with satisfactory proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the potentially winning entry. Winners will be required to respond to the notification to acknowledge receipt of the prize and to submit an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release in order to receive the prize (except where prohibited by law). If ShareYourStoryNow.org does not receive a signed and completed affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within 10 business days of notification, the prize will be awarded to a replacement winner drawn at random. ShareYourStoryNow.org will not be liable for unsuccessful efforts to notify a winner. Decisions by ShareYourStoryNow.org of winner eligibility, notification, and acceptance or disqualification will be final and binding.
7. Limits of Liability:ShareYourStoryNow.org has no responsibility whatsoever for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind that result from entry into the Giveaway or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize. ShareYourStoryNow.org assumes no liability for technical or computer malfunctions of any kind. ShareYourStoryNow.org is not liable for (a) late, lost, misdirected, or incomplete, entries; (b) telephone, electronic, program, network, Internet, or computer failures of any kind; or (c) failed, incomplete, garbled, unintelligible, or delayed computer messages. If the administration or integrity of the Giveaway is compromised or corrupted at any time, ShareYourStoryNow.org reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the Giveaway. ALL PRIZES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY FROM ShareYourStoryNow.org OF ANY KIND.
8. Change to Rules: These Official Rules are subject to change each time that the Giveaway is conducted. Participants should review the Official Rules each time.
9. Winner Publicity: Acceptance of a prize constitutes consent by the winner to the use of his/her screen name, first name, address (city and state only), biographical information and/or any statements made by winner regarding the Giveaway or ShareYourStoryNow.org for commercial, advertising and promotional purposes without notice or further compensation, in any media now known or hereafter developed (including the Internet), unless prohibited by law.
10. Failure of Operation: If for any reason the Giveaway is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of ShareYourStoryNow.org which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Giveaway, ShareYourStoryNow.org reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Giveaway. Any attempt by a participant to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, ShareYourStoryNow.org reserves the right to seek damages from any such participant to the fullest extent of the law.
11. Governing Law Provision: Any and all disputes relevant to this Giveaway will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
