PROXY: My father, my grandfather, my uncles were all pastors and ministers, born and raised around the church, and I rebelled against it for a number of years. My faith was not my own and I did not understand why I believed what I believed. So God wanted me, just like He wants every other person here on earth, and He went after me hard. I was involved in, you know, really, really stupid things, making bad decisions through my teenage years. And came to a, really a defining point in my life at about the age of 15 in Southern California. At a church service walking into the service and within my own mind I said some things to God. I said, you know, this is, Lord God I believe that you’re real, but I don’t know You for myself. And I’m tired of, you know, going both ways. Either I am or I’m not. And so if You don’t prove Yourself to me the way that I hear You prove Yourself to others I’m going to go all the way.

And I don’t think that God responds to our demands, but I think that when it’s His will He’s going to make it happen. And so I get into the service and halfway through the service one of the congregational members stands up, completely interrupts the service, turns around and points directly at me, and said God heard everything you said. This is your evidence, your proof right here, right now. So you’re not going to go this way. This is the way you’re going to go. If you ever have any questions this is it right now. And ever since then I better not act like I don’t know ’cause I do know, so. Yeah, that’s my story.
