Jason Gray: God’s Strength In My Weakness

JASON GRAY: Each morning when I wake up, it’s very important for me to tap into the mind of God, you know, and if there’s ever a time where I’d rather sleep in or I feel like I have a lot of time to read, I just think of, you know, this day I’m going to need the mind and heart of God on everything I face and stuff. So it helps give me the motivation to make that happen. Also, a parable [phonetic] is a daily corrective. As a guy with a speech handicap, who stutters (there it is right there), living in a world that champions and celebrates strength and perfection, and achievement, daily I need to be reminded that it’s through our weaknesses that his strength is perfected, and that my imperfections put his glory and his grace on display. I’m tempted to always believe that this weakness I have is a liability or a hindrance, but the Word of God daily reminds me that my weakness may be my greatest asset because it gives me access to a strength beyond myself.
