“Jesus Guides Me”
What else do I have in heaven but you? Since I have you, what else could I want on earth?
Mark (Tatty) says:
26 yrs ago my life was all messed up with drugs and crime. On the 4th July 1984 I met the Lord in a very dynamic way and I asked HIM to forgive me for all the wrong in my life, and for seeking to live without HIM. I told Jesus I believed He had died for me and paid the price for my wrongdoing (Sin). I also asked HIM to come into my life and help me to live the way he wanted me to.
In those 26yrs He has been a faithful friend, and most importantly someone whom I can completely trust. He has never failed me or let me down in any way. He hasn’t always done what I wanted or hoped for, (thank God for that!) but He has always stood with me.
Others have judged me and criticized me for not being what they think I should have been or for not doing what they think I should; yet never once did Jesus do this to me.
Not once has He condemned or judged me. Not once has He abandoned me or forgotten me. He does not point the finger at me sneeringly, but rather He works through His Holy Spirit, His Word and everyday circumstances to change me. I am certainly not the best example of Christianity or greatest expresser of Christian love, but then just like everyone else, I am not perfect.
Therefore in light of this truth let me just say these words: To those who think I should do better – with the strength and help the Lord gives me I will seek to live my life for HIM. I won’t always get it right, there are plenty of things wrong in my life – but then Jesus says I won’t be made perfect until the day He calls me home. To those who have encouraged me in the faith – thank you. To those who have been let down or hurt by me because I wasn’t the person you hoped. I’m sorry. To those who feel I have not said or done what I should have or have said or done what I shouldn’t have, I ask for your forgiveness.
Finally after 26yrs of following Jesus I want to acknowledge his grace, mercy, forgiveness, compassion, provision, protection and above all else his love. Thank you Jesus!
To those who don’t know Jesus – let me tell you He loves you too. Why not ask HIM into your life? and

My beloved and esteemed Mark (Tatty) in Christ:
What a heartfelt declaration of faith!
Yours reminded me, sort of, St. Augustine’s Confession.
I know that you will continue to inspire others. Perhaps you would write a sequel, something like St. Augustine’s renowned City of God?
Like you, I trust and live in His Everlasting Love, Grace, and Divine Mercy, and my “runneth over” cup never fails to give me everlasting joy.
May HE our ALL MIGHTY GOD Continue to shower HIS Infinite and Inestimable BLESSINGS upon you and yours;
