“Moving Past an Abusive Relationship”
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Denise says:
I was in an abusive marriage for 19 years. I tried everything I knew to “make my spouse happy”…and all my efforts only filled me with fear, doubt, self-loathing and constant hopelessness. I knew in my Spirit that living that way was not Godly and was convicted by this verse (2Timothy 1:7). It became my daily prayer as I worked over the course of 5 years to transform MYSELF, and worked to leave the situation with my kids.

My esteemed and beloved Denise in Christ:
You surely have the patience of a saint.
Your selected verse, 2 Timothy 1:7, is certainly insightful and apropos for so many unsettling situations in life.
Abusive marriages and relationships are so rampant in this materialistic world. I hope that your inspiring message will reach far and wide, and others will follow your footsteps to be transformed.
Meanwhile, Please take good care of yourself and precious children.
May our All Mighty God shower His Inestimable and Infinite Blessings upon you and yours;
Godspeed, always and forevermore!
Mary Sun.
