“The Bible helps through heartbreak of affair”
I trust you and am not afraid. No one can harm me.
Melinda F. says:
I have read several verses in the Bible and have prayed tons and i feel God’s presence. My husband is in the military - he was stationed in Turkey for 1 year, and 10 months out of that year he was seeing a young Turkish girl. He was 29 and she was 21. We have been married for 10 years and have two boys together and I am currently pregnant with our daughter! Even though this happened a year ago, he admitted to the affair and somehow we are trying to get through this.
I love him and want to forgive him, but the thoughts of him sleeping with her and being with her when I was in the States alone and missing him so much hurts me! Being that i am pregnant, i am so depressed and cry and cry and cry. He is remorseful but how do began to try to put this behind me? I just need to pray.
Ed.: Please pray for Melinda this week, and other families who are temporarily separated due to military service.

Melinda,
I have been in your shoes and know the difficulty you are facing. You can read my story on this same site, but if you want to talk via email, you can contact me at michelle_trowbridge@yahoo.com.
The Lord has been so faithful to me since my husband confessed his affair. He not only healed my marriage, but he healed me! Continue to place your trust in God, because He is trustworthy!

Melinda, my heart goes out to you. I too am in a similar situation. I just found out my husband has been having an affair with someone that is in the military. He too is in the military, and they set it up so that they can be deployed together. He has been gone for six months, and gets back Friday. I will fervently pray for you. I pray that God will open your heart to forgive your husband, and that God will open your husbands heart to not only feel remorse, but to become a changed man. PRAY for him, each day. Read the word. Talk to GOD. And when you feel like crying, cry! When you feel you cant take anymore..worship the Lord. Pray for me also and my situation. Together, praying, and believing in God, that he will save our marriages. Matthew 18:20 says: “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” Dont think about him and her, focus on God. And God will begin to change how you think, and when he does that begin to pray for your husband. I dont know much, but I do know that God cherishes marriage. I believe God is taking you somewhere new, and I believe he is taking me somewhere new, but we together have to press on and continue to believe in him. I love you Melinda, and will pray for you each night because through christ you are my sister. God Bless you!!
