“My Verse Gets Me Through”
“Jehovah is my strength and my shield; My heart hath trusted in him, and I am helped: Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; And with my song will I praise him.”
Marie writes:
This verse was given to me shortly after I came to a Christian Recovery Program. It has become the very verse that I live by and stand firm on. Because He is the only One who can give me the strength I need to get through.

Dear Marie:
Your “very verse that I live by and stand firm on” Psalm 28:7 is my strength, too.
Its closing prayer: “Save Your people and bless Your inheritance;
Be their shepherd also, and carry them forever” (Psalm 28:9), appears to auger and is
fulfilled by the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
Truly, “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me” (Matthew 5:11);
“If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you” (1 Peter 4:4),
“for we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7) so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life” (Titus 3:7).
Thank you.
Merry Christmas and
Happy New Year 2009;
GODSPEED, always and forevermore!
Mary Sun.
