Mercy Me: The Bible Helps Me Gain Perspective [3:37]

Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don’t ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.

[Philipians 4:8 CEV]

When facing a bad day Mercy Me’s Mike Scheuchzer says he turns to Philippians 4:8 to gain perspective. The band also shares how their song “Bring the Rain” caused quite a stir with radio stations.

I wanted to reach MercyMe and let them know how God used their song “I Can Only Imagine”. I had the honor to give the eulogy at my 12 year old niece’s funeral this past August. “I Can Only Imagine” was her favorite worship song. If you want to read the eulogy, you can go to the memorial website, Christian memorials, type in Anna Molloy Indianapolis and you will find a button to click on for the eulogy. If you want to read more about this amazing girl, Anna Molloy, you can also go to the website www.anna’scelebrationoflife.com There were thousands at her funeral and then at the cemetery,we played “I Can Only Imagine” to try to help her parents and brother grieve as they said their final good-byes to Anna. Some of Anna’s cousins will be going to the concert in Naperville Illinois this Thursday. Will MercyMe be in Indianapolis anytime soon- that is where Anna’s brother Peter and many of her friends are and it would be great if MercyMe where there some time soon. God Bless, Margaret
