“I Felt God's Guiding Hand”
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
Joey writes:
There have been two times in my life when the Lord reached down to prompt me in the right direction. The first time was after trying to conceive a second child for seven years. I was led to seek fertility treatment in the form of IVF. From start to finish it seemed that all odds were against me. (There are lots of levels and numbers to monitor each step of the way. Mine were never as high as they were supposed to be but each time the Dr. made the decision to continue.) This verse gave me such peace through the whole process, which resulted in a precious baby boy.

Dear Joey:
First and foremost, my heartiest congratulations to you for your Second Prince.
Even now, I share in your peace and joy when I hold a grandchild, or anybody’s child–the little children of God our Maker.
The Psalmists live their faith in hope vividly:
“For I hope in Thee, O Lord; Thou wilt answer, O Lord my God” (Psalm 38:15);
“They cried to you and were saved; in you they trusted and were not disappointed” (Psalm 22:5);
“But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise Thee yet more and more” (Psalm 71:14).
Not infrequently, I hear the murmurs: “Oh, that I might have my request, that God would grant what I hope for” (Job 6:8).
Habakkuk 2:3-4 provides an encouraging answer: “For this vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal, and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come. It will not delay.”
Apostle Paul expresses similar sentiments: “But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently” (Romans 8:25);
“And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us” (Romans 5:5).
Let us, therefore, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” (Romans 12:12).
Thank you.
May GOD ALL MIGHTY Bless you and yours inestimably and infinitely;
GODSPEED, always and forevermore!
Mary Sun.
