I Listened to the Lord for Direction

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future..”

[Jeremiah 29:11 NIV]

Teresa writes:

The weekend of July 12, 13, 2008 could have been a very busy, traveling weekend for me as I had the choice of either driving to Corpus Christi, Texas, for a 40th year High School Reunion, or to New Braunsfels, Texas for a friends wedding. I was very unsettled as to which event to attend, and with much prayer and staying fine tuned to the leading of the Holy Spirit, I surrendered my plans to the Lord. The Spirit let me know real quick that I was to be in the Lord’s “frontlines,” in FULL Christian Soldier’s Armor, at the Prayer time in front of the Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinic in my hometown. What a blessing it is to heed to the Holy Spirits direction! So much peace came over me in having obeyed the calling of God for that weekend. Eternity will let those of us there know if one baby, maybe two were saved that day.

    Dear Teresa:

    I venture to say that your “calling of God for that weekend…Eternity will let those of” you there know that, your ‘mustard seed’ grows, and thus many more than “two babies were saved that day.”

    Jeremiah, during the unpredictability of his life and fate, holds on to his faith: “Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; Save me and I will be saved, For Thou art my praise” (Jeremiah 17:14).

    The unique preciousness of every child is evinced. “But Jesus called for them, saying, ‘Permit the children to come to Me…, for the Kingdom of God belong to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it at all’” (Luke 18:16-17; Mark 10:14; Matthew 19:14).

    And “We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 1:3);
    “For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?” (1 Thessalonians 2:19).

    Thank you.

    May GOD ALL MIGHTY Bless you infinitely and inestimably;
    GODSPEED, always and forevermore!

    Mary Sun.
