“The Bible Renews My Mind”
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Hannah O. writes:
This is one of my favorite verses. The Holy Spirit has illustrated to me the fact that our minds are like a computer.
Before we got saved, a lot of garbage had been programmed in. Now that we are saved, we need to renew our minds (by studying, reading and praying).
As we read the Bible, God will delete the garbage little by little and reprogram us through the life-giving Word. Then we can live in victory, and also enjoy the abundant life that Christ has died to give us.

Dear Hannah O.:
I cannot agree with you more: “Now that we are saved, we need to renew our minds (by studying, reading and praying).”
For I can never quench my thirst for “studying, reading and praying.” Only then can I continually be “renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him” (Colossians 3:10).
This does not, however, preclude or exclude me from enjoying His material universe. Being preoccupied with “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10), I, therefore, do not conform to those human elements of wicked, luxurious, idolatrous pleasure, pomp and vanity therein.
“… He saved us…by the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3:5).
We, therefore, can be assured that “…those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
Thank you.
May GOD ALL MIGHTY Bless you on this Blessed July 4th of America the Beautiful;
GODSPEED, always and forevermore!
Mary Sun.
