Miracles Do Happen

… by his wounds we are healed.

[Isaiah 53:5]

Michael writes:

I would like to share a true story, it’s about a miracle, they really do happen.

One weekend a friend of mine named Richard was having his parents down for the weekend. One day during their visit, Richard’s father began having chest pains. They immediately rushed him to the hospital and discovered that he had 100% blockage and had to have open-heart surgery.

The next day I received a call from Richard that the doctors had given him up to die and I needed to pay my last respects. The doctor said it was so bad, and that had he known that, he never would have performed the surgery.

So I began to rush and get things together for the trip, and I looked to make sure I had everything. Then I thought about a “Prayer Cloth,” a small piece of cloth that’s been anointed with oil and prayed over by two or more saints. So with the prayer cloth in hand, my mother and I prayed over the prayer cloth and I took it with me.

When I arrived, everyone was in tears, and Richard walked me to his father’s bedside. As I looked at him, I thought, “What a good man.” I turned and gave the cloth to Richard, and he put it under his father’s pillow.

After visiting with the family, I left. Richard called me the next day and said his father started improving that evening and had improved over night and everybody was stunned. Even the doctors proclaimed it to be a miracle; they said there was no way they could explain it.

Three days later he was released. And on his follow-up exam, he was so healthy that they took him off all the meds, and he’s doing well today.

One Response to “Miracles Do Happen”

    Dear Michael:

I concur with you that miracles “do really happen,” and more frequently than we realize.

Recently, I learned of a planned parent who was four months pregnant, and wanted a baby girl to complete the family. She slipped, and was rushed to the hospital.

The team of renowned obstetricians did not see any possibility of holding the fetus back into the womb, and it was way too premature to have any chance of its survival whatsoever.

The parents were understandingly hysterical and decimated.

I prayed fervently to GOD ALL MIGHTY to save the baby. I pleaded to Him to exchange my life for it, as I have lived a fulfilled life already endowed with His everlasting Grace and Mercy.

Two days later, I was informed that the Mother was released from Intensive Care Unit, and could return home.

The born full term Baby Girl could not have been more healthy and beautiful. She is now walking around like a little holy terror, and ‘intelligently’ ruling and winning every one’s heart.

Another reason for me to be a humble believer and Bible addict is because, e.g., “How could Isaiah, seven hundred years before it occurred, conjecture that the Messiah would be scourged and bruised” (Matthew 27:26)–so minutely and in detail?

Truly, “He was delivered up because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification. Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 4:24; 5:1)

    Thank you.

    May GOD ALL MIGHTY Bless you and yours, Richard and Family;
    GODSPEED, always and forevermore!

    Mary Sun.
