Bible Helped My Academics

Children in whom was no blemish, but well favored, and skillful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, …

[Daniel 1:4 KJV]

Olayinka writes:

This verse actually helped me in my academics.

The passage says the children were “SKILLFUL in wisdom, CUNNING in knowledge and understanding in all sciences.” They did not only have wisdom but were also skillful in it and cunning with knowledge and understanding.

This opened my eyes to the application of my knowledge in school. I should not only know the answers (have wisdom) but know how to put them before my lecturers; this is what will help attract good marks from my lecturers.

Since reading this verse, I’ve been creative with my application of knowledge on my exams - and changes have been surfacing. Glory be to God.

    Dear Olayinka:

    “Knowledge is power,” (Sir Francis Bacon, Meditations, Heresies), indeed.

    Throughout my long life, I am still learning; and the more I learn, the more I realize that I still have to learn.

    Right now, you excel in your exams. But in time, as you continue to be wide read, you will find that life will be even more elevating and satisfying.

    You will be valuable talent to avail yourself, add to the splendor of your own life, select the most noble and employ them in the services of society and mankind.

    Since the beginning of time, “And out of the ground the Lord God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing …the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” (Genesis 2:9).

    May GOD continue to enrich you “in all speech and all knowledge” (Corinthians 1:5),
    “So that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every work and increasing in the knowledge of God….”: (Colossians 1:10).

    Thank you.

    May GOD ALL MIGHTY Bless you abundantly;
    GODSPEED, always and forevermore!

    Mary Sun.
