Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Vicky Beeching’s grandparents were missionaries all around the world and she learned from them how Scripture can change lives in a moment. She saw this firsthand in Lima, Peru on a short term mission trip. Happiness doesn’t depend on circumstances.

MS. VICKY BEECHING: My grandparents have been probably the main sort of spiritual impact on my life. And they’ve been missionaries for many years. They were in Israel first, then they were in Zimbabwe, Africa for many years, about 20 years. And they would tell me stories of how they’d seen God’s Word in action on the mission field. And I kind of knew that it happened, you know, I had faith to believe that you know people hear the Words of the Gospel that they, you know, just break down and accept Christ. Or you know you talk about promises of healing or forgiveness and see them working in lives.
But it’s probably only on my mission trips that I’ve really, it’s really kind of come together you know first hand eye witness for me. And I went for two weeks to Lima, the capital of Peru, South America back in the summer. And it was just a phenomenal time for me to see God working through His Word in the lives of people that have nothing. You just like, you can pray with someone, they can accept Christ and they may have no home, no bed, nothing, but you just know that you’re leaving them rich, you know. And if you can leave them with a copy of God’s Word you just know that they’ve got the comfort that they need.
