One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
[Psalm 27:4 NIV]
Don loves the Psalms and has read them numerous times. Psalm 27:4 has impacted him.

DON MOEN: My favorite book of the Bible, probably the Psalms. I just—you know I just—uh, I don’t know how many times I’ve read the Psalms but the very first scripture I ever underlined as a young boy when I accepted Christ as my savior at 12 years old was Psalm 27 verse four. “One thing have I desired and that will I seek after. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of our life to be held the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.”
And the Lord really brought Psalm 27 verse four back to me and I felt that he said to me I put this desire in your heart as a young boy, the desire for the presence of the Lord and the desire for his cords. And so that’s another one of my—um, that’s one of the script—one of the—another one of the scriptures that I love to share with people.

Don, thanks for sharing. I’m with you about Psalm 27:4. Psalm 27:4 definitely helps me get in touch with my heart’s deepest desire: to experience intimacy with God, to soak in God’s love.
Thanks for that beautiful reminder, Don. Blessings to you!
