He must become greater; I must become less.
[John 3:30 NIV]
Curt Collins talks about the importance of doing what the Bible says during our trials, rather than what we want to do during those times.

CURT COLLINS: Well, after moving from Arkansas, that’s where I’m from originally, over here, we found a very good Bible-based church after searching for a year. I think it’s helped my whole family to be able to get into the Word, because the pastor doesn’t say, “What I’m saying is right,” he says, “Now, what does it say in scripture about that situation? Let’s look at it.” So yes, every day of my life it really moves me. There’s actually a passage in Matthew, and my wife and I live this every day and wherever I go I talk about this, “It’s not by my will, Lord, but your will be done.” And I just think of that scripture verse and how Christ kneeled in the garden of Gethsemane and how he asked his Father to let that cut pass from him. And what little are we doing, and what faith do we have, that he can literally cry tears of blood, you know shed blood through his tears, and we can’t give a little back, you know? So every day I just pray that, you know, God’s will is done. And through the Bible, that gives me strength to read that passage. And actually I wrote a song years ago called “Not by my will,” and it’s based upon that scripture. Not by my will, but your will be done, Lord Jesus.
