“God Won't Give Up”
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ …
Ken B. writes:
This verse says that God will not give up on the good work he has begun in my life.
A cop showed me this verse when as a new Christian I was facing what might have been the rest of my life in prison. I have remembered this verse many times over the years and can say today that I am so happy that God (true to his word) has not given up that good work he has begun in my life.

Dear Ken B.
“I am so happy that God (true to his word) has not given up that good work he has begun in my life.”
Your “confidence” being in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus, “…as He had previously made a beginning, so He would also complete in you this gracious work as well.” (Philippians 3:3; 2 Corinthians 8:6).
I, too, have learned in life to place my reliance in and on God alone, and not “in the flesh,” for we are too weak, too changeable, and too easily led astray.
Only then “My heart will not fear; though war arise against me…I shall be confident…I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.” (Psalms 27:3-6).
Thank you.
May GOD ALL MIGHTY Bless you and your good work, and
GODSPEED, always and forevermore!

Dear Ken,
Thank you for sharing the verse in phillipians
I really need to hear that right now. I remember when I was in church, I was playing the piano and singing a song. A little old lady said to me that she could see a large dome of light over me. She said it started from one side of the floor and went way up high and over to the other side of me, it was shaped like a rainbow and she said that god had a great work for me to do.
I don’t know if I have or should I say the Lord through me has done a great work yet, but the Lord has used my songs to bless thousands but I just hope he will do more and bless many more. Thank you for that reminder Ken, I needed that bit of encouragement.
God Bless You!
Michael

Ken, I love this verse, too. It gives me hope. It helps me rest, knowing that God’s got me, that God’s Spirit is always working in me and inviting me into what’s next.
Thanks for sharing, Ken. I can sense your joy coming through your writing.

Ken thank you so much for sharing your life and God’s prevenient grace in seducing you to Himself. God is good all the time and when we ever stop running so fast and slow down we can see where He has been going and drawing us ever near to Him. I ran too, those I mostly ran standing still, I will share my story soon enough, but am so grateful to be reminded that God is never far away from me…His kingdom is at hand just as Jesus told me.
