God Removed My Warts

[Jesus speaking] “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”

[Matthew 7:7-8 NIV]

Cody writes:

At 12 or 13 years old, I had warts on the palms of my hands. Before biking over to a friend’s house, I realized they were ugly and girls would definitely not like them. I told God, “If you are there, show me by removing these warts when I open my eyes.” Nothing happened.

I got on my bike, got up to speed and hit a small rock, sending me over my handlebars and onto the pavement, hands first. When I opened my eyes after the crash, the warts were ripped out completely. Because of this and other simple happenings, I believe truly in an Awesome, Merciful God!

    Dear Cody,
When I read your story, I immediately thought of the scripture, “God works in mysterious ways”.
Sometimes god doesn’t always move in a way we expect him to, but he will give you your heart’s desire. Just be careful what you ask for!
More important than removing your warts, he may have saved your life.
Yes, you are so right, we do serve an Awesome, Merciful God.
    God Bless! Michael Baker

    Dear Cody:

Your story succinctly brings forth the tenderness of GOD our FATHER.

God understood your loving sensitivity to your girl friend: “…male and female He created them .” Genesis 1:27) :-).

Throughout the Testaments, we read: “Ask the Father, and he will inform you….” (Deuteronomy 32:7); “Ask of me and I shall surely give….” (Psalms 2:8); “And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His Will, He hears us.” (I John 5:14).

Jesus assures us repeatedly that we have the utmost latitude what our Father will provide for us, even forgiving our sins, comforting us in trials and tribulations, saving our souls (Luke 11; John 12: 24).

While a normal father would not give his child a stone when he asks for bread, or a serpent when he asks for fish (Matthew 7:9), our Heavenly Father gives us what could even be better beyond our comprehension (II Corinthians 12:7-9).

    Thank you, and

May GOD ALL MIGHTY Bless you, always and forevermore!

    Mary Sun.
