Producer, pianist, songwriter and singer, Percy Bady is grateful for the Bible. He shares Proverbs 22:6 - “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

Interesting use of Proverbs 22:6. Though, all parents are commanded to “train up their children”, this is not exactly how this particular verse should be viewed!
As a godly parent “trains up” their child, even as that child ages - he will war with what he/she was taught at an earlier time!
Even in their disobedience - they will recall the truth of God’s way being contrary to the life they have chosen!
When Proverbs 22:6 is quoted as it is in this video - the parent comes away believing that somehow, they failed in training, thus, the child going into rebellion! Not so!
