At the beginning of her career, Cheri Keaggy wrote a song based on Psalm 91. Recently she wrote a song based on 1 John 4:19, and she talks about how God loves us so that we can love others.

Cheri, thanks for sharing. It was fun to hear about the significance of Psalm 91 in your career.
Thanks, too, for sharing about 1 John 4:19. It’s so true that I can’t love others well without first soaking in God’s love. Sometimes I wish that wasn’t the case because in some sense it seems less “efficient.” Ha! I don’t want to have to take the time to soak in God’s love before I go out and love others. But when I do take the time to soak, I’m usually really grateful for the “soaking.”
