“Sean Smith: Cancer God’s Plan? (3:28)”
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Sean Smith shares about losing his mom to cancer. While he believes in Romans 8:28, he questions whether his mom’s death was part of God’s plan. A good encouragement for anyone dealing with terminal illness.

Sean, I’m sorry to hear about your mom. Thanks for sharing so honestly and tenderly.
I appreciated your advice to be honest with God — to even let God have it (i.e., to express anger at God, etc.). I agree that brutal honesty with God usually leads to more intimacy with God. Without that brutal honesty, it seems that true, deep intimacy with God isn’t possible.
Thanks again, Sean. Blessings to you.

I knew Sean’s mom. Mary became a major player in my life when my mother passed away. I also know that no one, except for our Heavenly Father will truly know the answer to the question of “His plan”. However, Sean gives amazing tribute to his mother, an amazing woman. I miss Mary so very much…never as much as Sean ever does.
