“I'm Not Alone Anymore”
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

My family has gone through a rough patch in the past year with my younger brother. I got left out by my family while they were dealing with all the trials they had, and I felt rejected.
But then I stumbled across this verse, and all those feelings melted away. This verse has given me hope that I’m not alone. I’m not worried about their attention anymore; I have God’s.
I am joining the Air Force soon, and this verse is going to be something I remember every day. I am going to basic training where I will be broken down, and then rebuilt. I can never forget this verse, I depend on it.
God is amazing, and I don’t know where I would be right now if I didn’t have him to lean on.

It is one career that I always admire, but have never been qualified.
You put the beautiful music in my ears: “Amazing Grace! how sweet the sound…I once was lost but now am found….”
He will your “shield and portion be,” indeed.

Sarah, thanks for sharing so vulnerably! You have a beautiful heart.
I’m sorry you got left out by your family over this past year. That’s really hard.
I’m glad you’re experiencing God’s comfort and companionship … what a beautiful gift … and how cool that you’ve been experiencing it through scripture.
Blessings to you as you continue to face and embrace your hurt … and blessings to you as you prepare for the Air Force (that sounds like a big deal!).
