“God Helped Me Quit Smoking”
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
Silviana writes:
I prayed in the Spirit a month ago, and God told me, “I am going to bring you victory, but give me my glory.”
I’ve been trying to quit smoking for a while, and the first time I tried on my own I was mean to my husband and kids. On the third day I broke down crying, and my husband had to buy me a pack of cigarettes.
A week after praying, I left a pack of cigarettes at work, and I asked God to give me strength not to buy a pack and smoke.
I stood in the Word, repeating scriptures: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want”; “He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world”; “All things are possible through Christ Jesus.”
And now it has been a month, and I haven’t smoked. I don’t crave for it, and I praise God every day for giving me the strength to quit.
This proved to me that if we seek Him, we will find Him. And He does answer prayers.

Silviana,
I find your story in the midst of wanting to quit smoking…so very much…and thank you for sharing. Timing is everything and perhaps this time I will actually throw the things away.
Please pray with me……
