“GRITS share life verses”
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
Grits share Romans 12, the importance of not conforming to the world. They share how we must be transformed, and draw closer to the Lord so that we can apply these things to our lives. Also John 15:16 and when we ask God for something, to really check our heart.
BONAFIDE: I always refer back to Romans 12:2, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,” that you may approve what is good, right, acceptable and perfect. So it’s like, that just kind of explains it all. It’s a mindset change, a mentality change, you have to change your mind, you have to be transformed, you have to be renewed, because everything that you’ve been taught isn’t necessarily right, you know. And as you draw closer to the Word, then you kind of find that out, especially as you get older. And it’s something that anybody can use and apply to their lives, no matter how old you are, and no matter how much Bible you do or don’t know. All changes take, you know, a change in the mind first, so that you can go ahead and decide to change your heart, so that your life will change.
COFFEE: John 15:16, “For you to not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to bear fruit, fruit that remains so that whatever you ask the Father of my name, he will give it to you.” That just challenges me, you know, anytime I ask God for something, to really check my heart.
