JENI VERNADEAU: Well, one of the storms that did come through my life was the death of my sister six years ago. She was a missionary overseas, and she caught a virus that took her life in just a matter of days. That was very, very difficult. She introduced me to the Lord, she introduced me to my husband and Christian music which, you know, singing is what I do, and just a big part of my life. She was my only sibling and huge role model, and so that was very difficult. I am thankful for the Word of God that gives me comfort and is an anchor for me when those storms com. And when those things come, I know that no matter what culture is saying or no matter how I’m feeling, I know that I can dig into scripture and I have that anchor for my soul, that no matter what I’m doing or going through, I can find peace and comfort. And if I’m totally confused, somehow God gives me wisdom. He won’t say, you know, take a left on 5th Street on March 25th, but he gives us enough in scripture that he will guide exactly where we need to go to have the most fulfilling life that he meant us to have.
