“One Verse Changed My Life”
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Larry H. writes:
I came from a broken home and contracted polio during the epidemic here in the U.S. My mother died when I was 15 and my grandfather, the only dad I knew, passed away the following year. I became suicidal as I sunk into alcoholism. The loss of my first child to SIDS compounded an already serious and deadly condition.
When I had reached the bottom of my existence, a single Bible verse actually changed my life.
Now I am a preacher of the gospel of Christ, happily married, and the father of 2 wonderful children. I’ve since come to realize that even in the midst of the darkest moments of my existence, I was being molded into someone who God saw as a masterpiece. Finally, I realize that I had to find God’s plan for my life and stick to it, rather than try to make my own way.
That one Bible verse also changes how I look at every human being I encounter. I try to see what God sees in them.
I am spending what time I have left trying to convey the message of that one verse — the verse that forever changed my life.
