God blesses those people who depend only on him. They belong to the kingdom of heaven! God blesses those people who grieve. They will find comfort! God blesses those people who are humble. The earth will belong to them! God blesses those people who want to obey him more than to eat or drink. They will be given what they want! God blesses those people who are merciful. They will be treatedwith mercy! God blesses those people whose hearts are pure. They will see him! God blesses those people who make peace. They will be called his children! God blesses those people who are treated badly for doing right. They belong to the kingdom of heaven. God will bless you when people insult you, mistreat you, and tell all kinds of evil lies about you because of me. Be happy and excited! You will have a great reward in heaven. People did these same things to the prophets who lived long ago.

Christian recording artist, Jason Gray, speaks about his song “all the lovely losers” which is based on the Beatitudes. With his speech handicap, this has special significance to him. He feels the Beatitudes are saying “blessed are the losers” and he’s ok with that “because that means there’s room for me”.

JASON GRAY: Hopefully all my songs are Biblical. I’m probably a theologian at heart, and am always wanting to communicate a very specific theological idea through each of my songs. Specifically, there is a song on my album, “All the lovely losers,” which is about the Beatitudes. As a young believer, I used to think that the kind of disciple that Jesus was looking for was a person who looked strong and competent, and who didn’t struggle with fear or doubt. And so I used to work so hard to be so strong and to look like I had my act together, which was difficult for a guy with a speech handicap to do, whose weakness is very apparent and obvious every time I open my mouth, you know. But I was so relieved to read in the Beatitudes in Matthew 5 where Jesus describes exactly for us the kind of person he prefers, when he says, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, and blessed are the meek, and blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. And blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, perhaps they do not have any of their own to lean on. Blessed are the merciful, those who look in the mirror and see how much mercy they need for themselves, and so hopefully they’re willing to extend it to others.” It’s not a list of winners that he’s describing here, so it seems to me that he’s saying, “Blessed are the losers,” and I’m grateful for that because that means there’s room for me in God’s kingdom.

“Faith cometh by hearing and hearing from the Word of God”(Romans, 10:17)
Dear Brother in Christ,
Greetings from Pakistan.
I am Fahim Qaisor from Pakistan . I have studied your web site, and I found it the most wonderful site to get right to the True Word of God. I found that all your material is full of knowledge concerning development of religious faith. Living in Pakistan we Christians is to face many obstacles to get the access to the Word of God. Most of the people in Pakistan are not capable to understand the English language. It’s because our national language is Urdu. My suggestion for you is to create your material in my language of Urdu and Punjabi also. It will bring lots of blessings of the Word of God for the Pakistani and Indian Urdu and Punjabi speaking people. For that purpose I as a translator will bring your material into Urdu languages and into Punjabi language as well.
“There is nothing more precious than to red and listen the Word of God into your own language.”
Sincerely,
Fahim Qaisor (Pakistan)
