“Giving God Glory in all Circumstances”
When He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed. Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Tamra B. writes:
It’s all about God! Our lives, our work, our words. As Christians we are to be Ambassadors for Christ so when someone asks me what I do, my response should be that I am an Ambassador for Jesus Christ through God the Father. I currently minister to my husband and my two children and their school. My focus every minute of every day needs to be through, or with, the mind of Christ.
In this world today, even the Christian world, the thought process seems to be: get a good education so that you can get a good job and see how God will bless you. I think that’s backward. God wants to be glorified, He wants His name to be proclaimed so we need to learn all about Him through personal Bible study and an intimate prayer life and He will make Himself and His will known to us.
We are told in God’s word that we will suffer for His name sake. How many of us are suffering? How many times a day do you praise God for who He is, for what He’s made, for what He’s done in our lives? How many times a day can we use a casual conversation to point to God Almighty the giver of all things? Have we missed an opportunity to glorify God to someone that needed to hear about His might, splendor, grace, mercy, love, forgiveness?
We can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us. (Phil. 4:13) He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (Eph. 3:20)

Your story reminded me, also, of Phil 3:10 — “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death . . . ”
I think most of us would love to know Christ and understand the power of the resurrection, but not many people pray to share in his sufferings.
Thank God that even in the sufferings, he is there, his grace is sufficient, he strengthens us, and his able to give us peace that surpasses all comprehension.

I agree with what Tamra B. has to say about LIVNG LIFE AS GLORIFYING GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. Man’s chief purpose upon this earth is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. In fact Jesus came to this world to release man of the great burden that he was carrying while being ignorant of knowing God consequentially leading him to seek invariably his distorted and demeaned purposes and fruitless pursuits. It was not only just not unimaginable for man to live life on his own but rather impossible.
I am thankful to God the Father that He made me realize the true meaning to life was found only when we live our lives for the glory of God and believe me this is 100% contrary to the worldly veiw.So I had to literally fight it out with the world to stand on WHAT JESUS TAUGHT ABOUT HOW TO LIVE A WHOLESOME LIFE.
