“Legal battle: God continues to strengthen me”
God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.

I know for an indisputable fact that the Lord Jesus Christ helps us when we desperately need him. I can say this with no doubts in my heart because of the way He has worked in my life in recent months.
I grew up going to church regularly, and was a pretty devoted follower of God until I graduated and left my hometown. For the next 20 years, although I had gained a measure of success, I lived a lifestyle far from the life that God would have liked. I was married, had two wonderful sons, and was living what I thought was a comfortable American life. Divorce brought all that to a crashing halt.
Following my divorce, I moved back to my hometown, 75 miles away from my ex-wife and the life I formerly lived, and embarked upon a journey of drinking, partying and immoral sexual activity and behavior.
Then something horrible happened.
One night, while partying with “friends”, I found myself in a situation with the police. I won’t go into the gory details, but although I had done nothing wrong, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people. I found myself in what seemed to be insurmountable legal trouble. My thoughts immediately went to several things: my children, my job, my family. What was I going to do? Although I knew I was innocent, I never should have put myself in that situation to begin with.
Several days later, I had a conversation with one of the people I work with, who is a lifelong friend and is very devoted to God. She sensed that something was wrong with me (I had told no one of my difficulties), and asked if she could talk to me. I broke down in tears and told her my story. She simply looked at me and said, “No matter what, I love you.” I went home and, overcome with despair, I began plotting a way to end it all. As I sat sobbing and trying to cope with the idea that when I was finished with my task, my sons would have to grow up without a father, I was suddenly overcome with the urge to get on my knees and pray. And brother, did I pray! I made up my mind then and there to return to the church. I was tired of the life I was living. I also knew in my heart that God was calling me back to him.
Since then, I have repented my sins, been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and been filled with the Holy Ghost. My life has done a complete turnaround. My transformation has been so dramatic that several people where I work have started coming to church as well. I now diligently seek God every day, and devote much of my time to prayer and Bible study. The key word is “study.” Simply reading the words isn’t enough. You have to delve deeper, meditate on what you read, and get to the marrow of what God is telling us in His Word.
My legal troubles? Yes, they are still ongoing, but I have already won one very important part of the proceeding. I know in my heart that God was working for me on that day. I have one more hurdle to overcome, but believe me when I tell you that I will win that one, also. God has been with me every step of the way, and He is a God that cannot fail! He will never fail any of us as long as we believe in Him, diligently seek Him, and trust in Him! Glory to God!
Two more great scriptures are:
Mark 11:24 and 2 Corinthians 5:17. Look them up, and you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Greetings!
A MESSAGE FROM GOD, your heavenly Father:
“I made you for a purpose.”
[Philippians 3: 8- 14]:
“I keep working toward that day
when I will finally be
all that Christ Jesus saved me for
and wants me to be…”
If Jesus had in mind what He wanted the Apostle Paul to be
then, since He does not play favorites - and - HAS saved you,
He saved you for a reason and wants you to fulfill your destiny.
