“Celebration in the Kingdom of Heaven”
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
Laurie writes:
I had turned my back on God in my teen years. I survived for the next 20 years or so, engaging in all types of drug activity and sexual immorality as a normal way of life. I did not understand what I was doing was wrong since I was ‘only hurting myself’ and I was a ‘functional alcoholic’.
One day I prayed to God to make it stop, since I clearly could not. And He did! At the time I could only concentrate on not drinking or doing drugs, but then I started to go to church, Bible study and pray every day. I thank God for not giving up on me when I did. I thought it was too late for me, now I read the scriptures and I see that I am more than welcome in the Kingdom of Heaven! What an awesome feeling! Can’t get this in a bottle!
