“Katrina: God is our shelter”

I want to thank you for making available the booklet, “God is our Shelter and Strength” for the distribution to all the Katrina survivors in our area. The 25,000 copies have been given to many of the churches in the Houston and Texas areas that have been providing assistance to the over 200,000 people displaced by Katrina and for the time living in Texas. The recipients and the volunteers have been very excited to receive and to distribute these helpful Scripture portions. They have indeed provided hope and joy to many.
God’s Word is very powerful at all times and takes on special meaning during these times of uncertainty and anxiousness. We commend you for your willingness to make these available and thank you for your efforts to get the “Good News” of hope and healing out to people.
