God answers prayer

And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days. And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.

[Luke 4:31-37 KJV]

Maeghan writes:

I was 14 when I first started going to church. I came from a family of unbelievers and wickens. I went to church with an open mind because I didn’t feel wicken was quite right.I had struggled with an abusive household with drugs, sex, and drinking. I started smoking at 8 and drinking at 16. I began mutilating my body at 9 years, and developed many health issues. I thought I was too far gone. But once I started going to church I was inspired; a social worker came and helped me, and many doctors have been coming up with treatments since I’ve been praying for it. My two favorite people at church have come closer to me and guided me. I now help run the computer system and projector during church. Now I love doing the computers and music so much it’s become the goal of the week. I have begun taking my violin and guitar playing more seriously. I’ve learned to forgive the people who held me down and beat me, and learned to forgive someone who sexually assaulted me from school. I also learned structure and what a family is really about. I was recently adopted by a family in the church and I have the best big sister and brother I could ask for. And it was all because I prayed and asked God for it.

  1. Living Hope In Jesus says:

It is a joy to read your testimony!

It indeed was because you prayed and asked God for it and because The LORD Jesus paid the price for it with His Own Blood on the cross of Calvary.

    How glorious!
