We’re all treasured by God

“For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.”

[Deuteronomy 7:6 NASB]

MeiThis verse changed my perspective while attending the 24/7 prayer session at church. The discussion was on Deuteronomy chapter 7 and the prayer leader wanted the group to discuss what it means to be a holy people.

To be honest, I don’t feel so treasured by God and also tend to feel that there’s nothing very special about the guy next to me during Sunday service.

However, an image came to me that so often I associate being special and set apart as something that only I am entitled to. But everyone in the congregation is special! When I start to see that God views all His children as special, and treasures everyone, I realized that I ought to get out of self-centeredness and also, share the gospel with people who I may not like.

I shared this during the prayer session and many people made the same commitment to just share the gospel with people around them and that all of us are special enough for God to have a plan for us. We just need to keep going and have faith!

    Hi,

Just to add that I have just shared my faith with a colleague in China by giving him my copy of my church’s magazine!

    God Bless!
