“Rescuing the Lost”
Go only to the people of Israel, because they are like a flock of lost sheep
In February of 1982, two months before I married my husband, I was actively seeking the Lord about where He wanted me to go to do missions work, and to which people group I was called to minister. One night after I finished studying for a Bible Doctrines exam, the Lord spoke to my heart during my prayer time before I went to bed. He clearly said, “Go to the lost sheep of the House of Israel!” This command seemed familiar to me, so I took my Bible out of my desk, and I started reading in Matthew 10:6 about Jesus telling his disciples to which people they were to go and preach the Gospel. Jesus commanded them in verse six to, “Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.”
God is calling people today who are willing to go to the lost sheep of Israel just as the disciples were told to do in Matthew 10:6. All of the scriptures must be fulfilled before Jesus will return to rule and reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Romans 11:26 says, “All of Israel shall be saved.” I count it a great priviledge to help in this harvest of Jewish souls before His return!
Maybe God is calling you to reach a specific people group before His return. Pray and ask Him if this might be what He wants you to do. So many still have not yet heard! Amen.
